HARRISBURG – State Rep. Matt Baker (R-Bradford/Tioga) today announced the award of $37,829 in grant funding for Bradford and Tioga counties toward their respective recycling efforts.
“Recycling efforts in both counties have continued to grow over the years and I commend our local waste authorities for putting programs and services in place to help further our recycling efforts,” said Baker. “I know this funding will go a long way toward helping our local communities afford the costs of maintaining their recycling operations.”
Bradford County was awarded $19,232.76 and Tioga County was awarded $18,596.47. The grants were awarded by Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection under its County Recycling Coordinator Grant Program to be used to reimburse counties for certain recycling expenses.
