10/22/2014
HARRISBURG – Reps. Matt Baker (R-Bradford/Tioga) and Tina Pickett (R-Bradford/Sullivan/Susquehanna) today announced they will be hosting a concealed carry seminar in Bradford County on Tuesday, Nov. 18, from 6-8 p.m. at Troy Vet’s Club Home Association, 183 Veterans Drive, Troy.

“This is a great opportunity for area gun owners, and potential gun owners, to learn more about the state’s concealed carry laws and other firearm-related regulations,” said Baker. “I encourage anyone who would like to attend to sign up early, as this event is expected to fill up quickly.”

“Our guest speakers have a wealth of knowledge about our state’s laws and will share with participants important details about gun ownership, especially if a firearm owner plans to travel out of state, and the legal implications when a firearm may be used to protect oneself,” Pickett said.

The seminar will feature Bradford County Sheriff C.J. Walters and Bradford County District Attorney Daniel Barrett. They will provide information about our state’s firearms laws and offer information on how to safely interact with police when carrying a firearm and the legal aspects of Pennsylvania’s Castle Doctrine, which allows a homeowner to use deadly force if necessary when threatened by an armed intruder.

Registration is required for this event and can be made by going online at www.RepBaker.com or www.RepPickett.com, or by calling Baker’s Troy office at 570- 297-3045 or Pickett’s Towanda office at 570-265-3124. Seating is limited.
